DEANS ACADEMY
The London College of Music (LCM) is an international examinations board offering graded and diploma qualifications in Music, Drama and Communications.
It has a long history of music education dating back to 1887. In 1991 LCM became part of  Thames Valley University which was renamed the University of West London in 2011.
Exams are accredited by Ofqual and higher grades offer UCAS points for University Level.
Classes and Times

All Classes take place at the WOW Hall 25 Park Street, Weymouth DT4 7DF

Monday: 6-9 years  4-5pm
   9-11 years       5-6pm

Tuesday 11-13 years    4-5pm
   13+ years 5-6pm
Classes are 1 hour in duration, run during term times, 10 sessions a term, Limited Class Sizes (10 Students) and are grouped into four age ranges.

Within the classroom Students will :
  • Understand how to Sing Safely
  • Gain a Solid Vocal Foundation
  • Learn New Repertoire
  • Gain Confidence Singing Solo and within a Group
  • Develop an Acting through Song Technique
  • Learn and Absorb a History of Musical Theatre
  • Work towards a Fully Accredited Annual Exam

Half-term: 13th - 17th February
The LCM Musical Theatre Exams are primarily a Singing Exam. Candidates are also marked on their ability to combine Singing, “Acting through Song” and Dance to create a performance piece. This is a valuable tool for assessing the level of attainment within Musical Theatre.
